Thank you to everyone who came to my little celebration on February 1st, 2003. It was a remarkable event in ways the surpassed my expectations. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the special magic of the evening!
It seems that I'm not the only one that had a good time that night. I received call after call the next day expressing pleasure and gratitude. One friend described it as "the best party I've ever been to." Another had this to say:
"Your house, and all the things in it, is a treat by itself but the people you assembled were the best part. I found most everyone there to be truly gentle and kind. Gentle and kind people. While I was waiting to go into the room you set up upstairs, I heard a woman describe it as something that reflected your care for the people who came to your house. I think she hit the nail on the head. The opportunity extended in this room was greater than the work you put into it and I like to think that's how you wanted it. Thanks for inviting me."
Here's another comment:
"What an amazing array of experiences you gave your guests Saturday night! The altar room was my favorite! Beautiful, passionate work; color, texture and lines were exquisitely wrought. My favorite food was the 'Queen of the Bean' cake!"
One person said, "The altar room took my breath away, it was several minutes before I could calm down."
It pleases me that we can find such inspiration and enjoyment in the shared expression of each others company, conversation and talents. Here's to welcoming the bright new year and all of it's wonders!

M O V I E S
The fair Bride in splendid array
with her White Wand
breathes life into the mouth
of the dead winter
to bring him to open his eyes
to the tears and the smiles, the sighs
and the laughter of Spring.
