Thanks again to everyone who made this year's celebration so memorable. Once again folks have been lavish in their praise:

"That was a really wonderful party last night, your best ever, in fact one of the two best parties I have ever been to. I am sure Madelyn had a lot to do with that! The womb room was the best use of your upstairs room that I have seen. A really good environment. In fact all the decorating was just excellent. Also enjoyed meeting a few of your other friends who are of course all great people. I would not have suspected otherwise. Thanks for inviting me."

"I had the best time at the Candlemas party. It was really good to see you both. The music and artistic expression was unmatched by any gathering I've ever been to. Once again, a fine gathering. Thank you so much for including me."

"THANK YOU for yet another wonderful gathering. You are simply amazing! So lovely too to be in the home of SCOTT AND MADELYN for this one. You two continue to evolve together. It is grand!!!"

"I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for another wonderful Candlemas celebration! The performances were terrific as well and fun was had by all. The painting of Ralph was fabulous!"

How amazing it is for us to spend these soul-enlarging times in the company of such luminous friends and companions. Thank you all for the special magic that you bring.

Winter Blessings,
Scott & Madelyn

The Voice of the Oracle
Brigid's Well, The Womb of Creation, The Cauldron of Souls. It was all so peaceful and tranquil, but what was being said in there? Here's the full script, as captured tumbling right from the sibilant tongue of the Oracle; read the text here.

Man of Peace
Many special tributes and blessings were performed in honor of Ralph Baldwin this year. Scott painted a giant portrait of Ralph outside in the winter air. John Paul, Meredith and Brad sang him "Happy Birthday". Madelyn debuted her act, "Garden of Eden", inviting Ralph to taste her 'fruits'. And Mekare performed her deep, entrancing masked dance with the incredible 'brain mask'. But one honorarium that did not receive the opportunity to be presented was Joe Wrobel's rock and roll song, "Man of Peace", an original composition meant to be performed this one night only. Read all about it here.

The Ralph Recordings
I attempted to capture Ralph's talents in my recording studio. Here are several "song stylings" of his, from just after New Year's 2006. There's also videos, slideshows and, yes, even Ralph in full tribal bodypaint getting up close and personal! You'll really enjoy this online tribute to all things Ralph. Check it out here here.

Party as Travel Destination
It is a source of constant amazement to us, the lengths that people will travel to attend our humble little shindig. Last year people came from far way places with far away names like New York and Pittsburgh. This year Chris came from Kiawah Island SC, Allan and friends came from places like Maryland, New Mexico and Brazil by way of Washington DC. And our fetching and alluring geishas, April and Amanda drove in from Richmond VA to flash their brilliant smiles at us. Thank you all!

One day soon you’ll get the call. All the heavens will open before you and your heart will break for joy. The moment will have arrived and all else will look tiny. Like you’ve been living inside a tiny little dollhouse and living a tiny little dream. You know it’s true. This is your moment of calm reflection. Your moment before entering the surprise birthday party you just happened to discover that the angels have been secretly planning for you. Look back with gratitude and peace on all that has been. Now, walk into light.
